Provincial health departments are struggling to keep up with the demand for services and budgetary constraints are often blamed. Accrued debt from previous financial years has had a domino effect and significantly reduced funds available for basic needs of the department.
In anticipation of Pravin Gordhan’s Budget speech on February 26, the Mail & Guardian wants to know more about the experiences of provincial department of health suppliers and service providers.
