Health Hub | Life with long COVID & when you should speak to teens about sex

106 days. That is how long Sarawat Ajam spent in a COVID intensive care ward. It would take him six months to get discharged from hospital — after receiving treatment at South Africa’s only long-COVID clinic, he is almost fully recovered. Rubeshan Perumal who heads up the clinic, joins Bhekisisa editor-in-chief Mia Malan to explain what long COVID is and how to know if you are affected.

Sex can be something which parents find challenging to speak to their teens about. Sex education workshop facilitator Mamello Sejake gives practical tips for parents.

Health Hub airs at 9am on Sunday mornings on Newzroom Afrika – DSTV channel 405

We are taking a break during the run-up to the local government elections. We’ll be back on air in early November.
